HuP

        HUP (human performance) is a safety management and practice tool borrowed from Westinghouse Electric Company, an American shareholder, by Guohe Weike. We can call it "human behavior performance". HUP is developed by INPO A nuclear safety concept promoted by (American Institute of nuclear power operation) aims to promote the safety and effectiveness of nuclear power operation. It is a series of actions and methods to help us reduce the frequency of accidents and the severity of accident consequences in our work. HUP is based on five principles: 1) everyone is bound to make mistakes, even the best people will make mistakes; 2) it is easy to lead to accidents The occurrence of errors is predictable, manageable and preventable; 3) Personal behavior is influenced by organizational procedures and values; 4) Individuals achieve high performance mostly through encouragement and reinforcement; 5) Accidents can be avoided by understanding the causes of errors and learning lessons. There are 8 current HUP tools of Sinovel: 1) personal safety assessment (two minute principle); 2) self inspection (star); 3) peer mutual inspection; 4) pre job briefing; 5) questioning attitude; 6) suspension; 7) use and compliance of procedures; 8) near miss report.
